Level one coaching courses in football and hurling
LEVEL ONE HURLING/FOOTBALL COURSES 2005
The National Coaching and Games Development Committee in conjunction with the NCTC offers Coach Education from beginners to advanced coaches. The programme consists of five coaching levels, Foundation and Levels 1,2,3,4.
Level One
This Course is aimed at people coaching teams in clubs from U/12 right through to Adult Level.
It involves 30-40 hours and is conducted mainly through practical involvement under the guidance of trained tutors.
The focus of this course is planning, preparing, conducting and reviewing a coaching programme for the season.
Topics include:
· Technical Proficiency
· Tactical Prows / Plays
· Team Play
· Physical Fitness
· Performance Analysis
· Planning a yearly programme
The Leinster Coach Education Tutor Group will be offering Coaches in
Level One Hurling Venue: Naomh Barrog.

Entry Requirements
· All coaches must have completed a Foundation Level Course
· Foundation Certificates must be presented on the first night of the course to the course co-ordinator
· Coaches must be working with at least a Under 12 team.
· Coaches must be over 16 years of age
· Course Duration 30 hours
· Practical Coaching Assignments plus logbook completion
· Course Fee: €85 per person.
Coaching Qualification
A Level One Coaching Certificate will be awarded to coaches who attend the course in full and who complete the coaches work-book (Level One Logbook).
