Under 21A vs Kilmacud Crokes

Result: 2-09 to 1-07

Ballyboden u21 footballers overcame arch rivals Kilmacud crokes by 5 points to reach the championship final . Kilmacud dominated for a large part of the first half .  and swept into a 0 5 to 0 1 lead. However , like all good teams, boden stayed in the game and scores from Dan Buckingham 0-2, Conor Dooley, barra mcgarry, sam molony and Colm Basquel meant the home side were behind 1-6 to 0-6 at half time. Kilmacud scored early in the second half and it was looking ominous for the home side until a Darragh Gogan point blank save sparked the Boden lads to life. From then on with Tom Hanifin and James Madden upping the tempo and intensity of play , ballyboden scored 2-3 ( Barry Mcgarry 1-1 , Conor Dooley 1-1, Sam Molony 0-1) without reply to finish off the game. Ballyboden now meet Raheny in the final, scheduled for Sat. 7th Feb. With venue to be decided.
