Ballinteer maintained the pressure and had three more points between the 8th and 13th minute.  This could have been much more but for some outstanding defending by BBSE and by goalkeeper Jonathan O’Donoghue.  The team was been led by man of the match right half back Jacques Dalton, who drove the team forward with an outstanding display and was supported by the half and full back lines.  In the 18th minute a diagonal ball from Conor Mealy dropped on the edge of the square and it was put in the back of the net by Donal Kelly.  Ballinteer responded with a point in the 21st minute. However two more points, one each from David Ward and Cillian O’Connor for BBSE, left the final score BBSE 2.13 to Ballinteer 0.8. A well-deserved victory following a great display.
