Intermediate vs Naomh Barróg
Sunday, 12th May 2019

Result: 1-10 to 0-20
A fine summer-like morning in Ballycullen was the setting for the Inter's latest foray in Division 3. The visitor on this occasion were Naomh Barróg who were riding high with a 100% record and determined to secure promotion after missing out narrowly in the last two seasons. Boden were coming off a narrow defeat in mid-week and were hoping to put it up to the visitors. The game started at a frantic pace and it wasn't long before Barróg were off the mark - in fact they rattled off five unanswered points in the first 10 minutes.  Boden had chances but failed to convert and it wasn't until the 11th minute that Boden opened their account from the trusty right boot of Lewis Cawley. Lewis followed with another point from a free minutes later. Boden continued to battle with the visitors but their pace and intensity in the middle third caused a few problems. At the break the score read 10 - 4 to Barróg with Boden's additional points coming from Mikey and Ciaran.

The second half opened with Boden doing most of the attacking but Boden's scores were responded to almost immediately.by Barróg. A second-half comeback was looking unlikely until Mikey netted from close range reducing the margin to 5 points with 10 minutes to go. Boden were still creating chances and posing threats. Chill's attempted lob late on was well saved by the Barróg keeper. Boden never gave up but were out-classed on the day by a well drilled outfit.
