Big Week for Senior Hurlers

[ Tuesday, 31st August 2010 ]

This weekend sees the resumption of the Senior Hurling Championships.

The A team have just 3 points from 3 games and cannot really afford to drop anymore points if the dream of Boden for 4 is to stay alive.  The Championship is now reaching a vital stage and we can expect all the hard training of the past few weeks to pay dividends. The A team play St. Pat's on Saturday (September 4th) in PUM at 6pm.   The final group game will be away to Faughs on September 18th.

The Senior B team play Erin's Isle in Finglas at 6pm on Saturday.  This is a a top of the table clash.  Both teams have full points after 3 games and it would be a huge boost if the B team were to bring home points from Finglas.  The final group game will be at home to Round Towers Clondalkin on September 18th.

The Junior A team have narrowly missed out on qualification.  They were unlucky to come up against a resurgent Castleknock and lost out on goal difference. They play a League match aginst Fingallians in Ballycullen on Saturday at 6pm.

The Junior C team have qualified for the quarter final and await confirmation of their opposition.  They play Faughs in the League on Monday, 6th September at 7.00pm.
