Boden hurlers shine under lights

[ Monday, 23rd February 2004 ]

Ballyboden st Endas 3-10  Naomh Mearnog 0-05

A combined Senior A and B hurling panel easily accounted for Naomh Mearnóg on Friday night in Pairc Uí Thuathaill to progress to the semi finals.

Boden playing with the wind in the first half were slow to start but got used to the conditions and went in 1-06 to 0-04 up at the break.

The second half started much at as the first had finished, with Boden well on top.  The Mearnog attack were well marshalled by a solid Boden defence  and up the other end the forwards were now taking their chances with ease.

Tim Sweeney was given the Man of the Match award by the Tournament Hosts O’Tooles.

The Semi Finals have been fixed for the 1st and 2nd of March and the Final is on the 5th March.
