The Lucan v Ballyboden St Endas game was the match of the day with the Boden pushing Lucan every step of the way. Early points by Kerrie Maunsell and Maria McGrath had them in from before Lucan goaled but almost on the stroke of half time, Boden went in front again with a Maria McGrath goal.

The excellent Orla Beegan put Lucan ahead early in the second half followed by a point by live wire corner forward Anna Ryan.

But a long range effort by Aisling O'Leary struck goal for Boden to level the game with 14 minutes to go.

The next score would be vital and it fell to Orla Beegan with a neat point. Further scores followed from Ailise Dowling, Orla Beegan and Anna Ryan to clinch victory.

Everyone of the Boden girls gave their all showing tremendous skill, passion and determination.
