The girl's game was all square with minutes left when a wonder goal by Ailbhe Finnegan gave us the breathing space to hold on for a one-goal victory. Player of the game performances came from Niamh Simmons, Claire Madden, Ailbhe Finnegan, Áine Duffy and Hannah Hyland. Congrats to the management team, Joanne O'Sullivan and Richie Sweetnam, on an excellent job. Joanne's place on the Boden Senior Team is certainly under threat with the emerging talent on show from her young charges. The Corn Kitterick Boys Final went to extra time when a last minute goal for Belgrove B.N.S. equalised just at the end of normal time. However, St. Colmcille's re-grouped and a fabulous goal from Philip McCormack propelled our boys to a narrow victory at the end of extra time.
Outstanding displays on view from Adam Maher, Gavin Morrell, Dylan Walsh, Nathan Benson, Philip McCormack, assisted by super sub Ryan Collins saw us take the Corn Kitterick for the fourth time this decade, 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2009, thus making up for last year's narrow final defeat.
