There was a great days handball action at Ballyboden at the week-end organised by Fergal Ó Riain. A One-Wall interclub competition was held for under 12 and under 14 levels. In this competition Aoife Gillespie and Jane McGuinness contested the under 14 final. Both players played extremely well and the final ended in a very narrow victory by Aoife, 21-17. The under 12 final was also a close run affair between Karl Reddy and Mark McNamee. Mark's power serve proved to be the difference between the two and he won on a similar score line of 21-18. All four are members of the Club and expressed an keen interest in continuing with the game. "This bodes well for Ballyboden as they will most certainly be ones to watch for the future" stated Joe Varley, Dublin Handball Development. " Well done to all involved on a great day of fun and handball" he added.
