Hurlers field four adult teams on the one night
In all 70 players turned out for the games. In addition 17 players were involved in a Senior A camogie game bringing the total to 87 players in adult competitions. Well done to all concerned.Full reports can be accessed under Results.
There were a number of family side stories -
Three members of the Reilly family played in Senior games - Aiden (Senior A hurling), Ciaran (Senior B hurling) and Dearbha (Senior A camogie). Their father Brian was involved as a mentor with the Intermediate hurling team.
Brothers Simon and Dermot Daly and Dermot and Gary Maguire played in the Senior A Hurling game.
Uncle - John Ryan (selector and manager on the night) and his nephew Alan were part of the Senior A hurling effort.
Twin brothers - Tomás and Niall Ó Riordáin lined out in the Senior B hurling game.
Twin brothers - Chris and Stephen Nagle played in the Junior Hurling game.
Brothers Colin and Shane Durkin played in the Senior B hurling game.
Brothers Martin and Jonathan Kenny played in the Senior A and B league games respectively.
Brothers Stephen and Mark Coughlan lined out in the Senior B and Intermediate matches respectively.
Two Phelans lined out in the Junior hurling game - Michael and Liam.
In the Senior Camogie game -
Sisters Ciara and Aoife Scallan played (their father Brian was umpire and Anne cheered them on!)
Father, Mother, Uncle and Daughter partnership - Gerry O"Sullivan (manager), Mona (team assistant), Eamonn (selector) and Fiona.
Mother, Father and Daughter partnership - Nuala Pope (Camogie Section Chairperson), Colin (umpire) and Catherine
Father and Daughter partnership - Micheál Glynn (selector) and Sharon.
Like Sister and Brother - Anne McCormack lined out at midfield while her brother John was part of the Senior A hurling panel in Silverpark
