Na Siúltóirí Buadáin - Dec 27-Jan-Feb Schedule of Walks

Dec 27th---Cold Turkey on Djouce, yes, an opportunity to finish the bird and recover from the excess.

Route 1 from Crone to the top and down is about 4 hours-meet at 9.

Route 2 from Luggalla to the top and down is about 3 hours-meet at 9.30.

The fall-back option is Fairy Castle from the "Bellavista". Leaders are appointed.

Voluntary contributions to the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Please support if you can.

 

Sat 31st---Dodder walk to the city!  3 or 4 hours easish!

 

Mon 2nd---Greystones to Bray  3 hours easy

 

Sat 7th---Mullaghcleevaun 3 hours tough

                Kilcoole To Newcastle including East Coast Nature Reserve. Grade Easy.

 

Sat14th—Howth 3 hours easy

 

Sat 21st---Djouce 4 hours tough.

              There will be an option of an easier walk also.

 

Sat 28th---Bellavista to Glencullen Village, lunch and MUTEC sponsored BUS back??  Moderate

 

Sat  4th--- Return to the Mournes-back at 6pm - Two Options

               Tough with Brian

               Moderate with Conor

               Meet 8am SHARP, Ballyboden St Endas Car Park.

              Subject to change,  depending on weather.

 

Sat 11th---Greystones to Bray

 

Sat 18th---The Lug  4 hours plus tough

 

Sat 25th---Kilcoole to Blackditch 3 hrs easy


Walking Guidelines and helpful Hints     

Meeting place:                Ballyboden St Endas

Membership:                   At least associate (social) membership is required.  Available since 1 Jan 2012

Time:                              9am

Transport:                        Car Pool

Clothing:                         Walking Boots, Rain Gear, Hat and Gloves. It is best to layer clothing to              accommodate changes of temperature. Trekking Pole (optional). A change of clothes and footwear is advisable ( cars don’t like mucky gear and boots)

Food:                                    Water, flask of tea/coffee,   Snack, Fruit.
