NEW CLUB EXECUTIVE

Members, as you will be aware, this is the first year in which the Club Executive comprises a combination of elected  and selected  members. The purpose of this note is to set out  the composition of the new Club Executive. A key feature of the new structure is that 8 Executive Subgroups will have responsibility for  running specific areas of the Club and the Chairman of each subgroup will be a member of the Club Executive. The  Games Sections committees which are currently responsible for the day to day  running of Football, Ladies Football, Camogie and Hurling will continue as normal. The members of the Club Executive are
 
Terry O'Neill       Club Chairman and Chairman of Adult Games subgroup. ( Adult games subgroup will comprise the officers of the 4  Adult Games Sections)
 
Jody Moran        Vice Chairman ( also responsibility for running of Player Insurance Scheme).
 
Ciaran Maguire   Club Secretary and Secretary of Adult Games subgroup.
 
John Archbold    Club Treasurer
 
Sean Bonar        Club Registrar
 
Alan Ryan          Players Representative ( Will also chair a  forum made up of representative from all Adult teams which will meet on a periodic basis to discuss player issues)
 
Danny Griffin      ( responsibility for Club sponsorship)
 
Brendan Moran   (  responsibillity for a number of specific new Club projects)
 
Paddy Walsh      ( outgoing Club Chairman)
 
Derek Ward        ( Chairman of Juvenile Games subgroup which will comprise officers of Juvenile boys, ladies football and camogie committees)
 
Mark Fee           ( Chairman  of Coaching and Games Development subgroup)
 
Mary Cleary        (Chairperson , Cultural and Social subgroup, existing committees such as Senior Citizens, Golf , Drama, Ceili etc will be represented on this group)
 
Paddy Bates       ( Chairman, Communications subgroup which will be responsible for establishing Club Database and Online Membership and will include Club PRO)     
 
Vivian Ruddy       ( Chairman, Club Maintenance subgroup)
 
Philip Ryan          (Chairman of Finance subgroup, existing committees such as Lotto, Fundraising will be represented on this group)
 
John  Ryan          ( Chairman Club Development)
 
TBA                     Assistant treasurer to be appointed following discussions with Finance Executive subgroup
 
The Chairpersons of the various subgroups are currently looking for volunteers to participate in their groups . If you have an interest in participating in any of the groups , please liaise with the relevant Chairperson. A list of the members participating on the various subgroups will be put on website as soon as the membership of the  groups is finalised
 
One of the principal purposes of the new structure is to try and create manageable workloads for Club members who volunteer to participate in Club Administration. I would ask all members to give it their full support.
