At the start of the year a lot of boys tried out. We played 3 friendlies against Ballyroan before Christmas and won them all. We trained after school on Mondays and played the senior hurling league on Tuesdays. We also trained at lunch time. We played 3 more friendlies against Scoil San Treasa, Pius X and Hollypark. We beat them all. Then, Mr.  O'Neill picked the teams. Our first competitive match was against Marino. It was tough but we were the better team in the end. We had more good wins against Scoil Lorcáin Kilmacud, Scoil Colmcille Knocklyon, St. Joseph's Terenure, St. Patrick's Drumcondra and St. Brigid's Castleknock. Then came the big one against Scoil Fhiachra. We were 8 points down at half time but we never gave up and it ended in a draw. Both teams finished on top of the table on 13 points so we had to toss a coin. We WON!!!And now we are going to play in CROKE PARK!!! (by Luke Corcoran and Rory Hennessy).
