Ballyboden St. Endas 8-9  Na Fianna   3-7

The U12 ladies finished off the season in style at Mobhi Road on Sunday morning by winning the 2008 league ‘final’ against their old rivals, Na Fianna.

The league play-off, against the only team to have beaten the Boden belles in the league, saw an exhibition of slick football. From the very first ball, Boden played with their characteristic crisp style that saw them establish a commanding 2-7 to 0-1 lead by half team. Indeed a measure of Boden’s superiority in the first half was that Na Fianna didn’t register a wide until the 20th minute of the game. Na Fianna did come in to it more in the second half, but using the entire squad of 23 girls, Boden emerged victorious on a score line of 8-9 to 3-7.

The were 23 ‘players of the match’ and they were:
