Ballyboden St. Endas 9-10  Kilmacud Crokes  3-7

The Ballyboden St Endas U13 ladies football team finished off the first part of the season in style at Cherryfield on Thursday 28th May by winning the 2009 league with an impressive victory over Kilmacud Crokes.

The match, against the last team to have beaten the Boden belles, saw an exhibition of the football that has made this Boden team such a joy to watch. From the very first ball, the belles played with their characteristic style, which saw them establish a commanding 5-10 to 2-3 lead by half time. As expected Crokes did come into it more in the second half, but such was the work rate of this squad of players that Boden emerged victorious on a score line of 9-10 to 3-7.
 
There were 20 ‘players of the match’ and they were:  Danielle Aylmer, Rachel White, Sinead Ryan, Aisling Scully, Aine McMorrow, Doireann Mullaney, Rachel McFetridge, Niamh McLoughlin, Elizabeth Kiernan, Martha O’Donoghue, Simone Reilly, Ruth Gillen, Jessica Hogan, Catriona Sinnott, Katie Murphy, Katie Weir, Aisling O’Leary, Lisa Gillen, Saoirse O’Reilly and Sara Gallagher.
