Ballyboden U16A Footballers had a bright start to their 2010 championship campaign on Saturday last in Páirc Uí Mhurchú reports Joe Roche

Boden gained the upper hand in midfield early on and goals from James Roche, helped by a great through ball from Stuart Warren & Owen Lewis put some daylight between the teams by half time.

In the second half, strong defence marshalled by Ryan Gillen & Sean Keller in particular, kept Whitehall's chances to a minimum.

A further goal by Cathal Flaherty midway through the second half sealed the win and put Boden through to the quarter final, to be played on Saturday 17th April.
